Thanks to the creativity of our marketing friends at Cm2 Media, ArtHouse launched a special Prescription Video on our Home page earlier this week. It’ll only take a minute for you to view it, but its powerful message should really resonate about the importance of the Arts in the lives of our young people and their families – and maybe more than ever in today’s Covid world. Thanks to a combination of very generous donors, granting organizations, our skilled instructors and our awesome staff, we are weaving our way through this pandemic with an even stronger commitment to support our participants.
Over the past 10 months, we have intensified our mission to serve the Whole Child – creatively, physically, socially, emotionally, intellectually, educationally and nutritionally in a safe and caring environment. We have recognized that younger siblings and parents are in need of support so we have gone even further to reach the Whole Family. We became an Emergency Food provider with Fresh Weekly dinners delivered to our Families, we presented parents with gift cards and hygiene hampers to brighten up their holidays, and we are about to donate 25 Laptops so that even more of our ArtHouse kids can participate in our virtual Arts programs.
Our special work continues to evolve – we will soon be initiating two new programs; one focusing on our youth who are feeling the many social challenges forced onto them by the pandemic – and the second where we will bring our families together “virtually” with a series of special Friday Nights with ArtHouse.
The theme of our work throughout is the Arts and the many ways they relate to positive well-being, engagement, confidence and resilience. While it’s difficult to determine when we will be able to see Covid days behind us, we plan to work seamlessly through it. We will continue to Seek New Knowledge, Make New Decisions and Celebrate New Experiences. We are in this for keeps.
